To connect the MIDI keyboard to your DAW, follow these steps:
1. Use the provided USB cable to link the MIDI keyboard to your computer's USB port. Once connected, you'll notice the keyboard lighting up to indicate power. If the MIDI keyboard fails to power up upon connection, verify whether you're using a USB hub. If so, attempt connecting the keyboard directly to your laptop instead. If the issue persists, try using a different cable.
2. Configure your DAW for a MIDI keyboard connection. Each DAW works differently and we invite you to find out how yours works. In general the process goes something like this :
Open Your DAW,
Access MIDI Settings: Look for "Preferences" or "Settings" in the menu.
Detect MIDI Keyboard: Ensure your MIDI keyboard is recognized as an input device.
Enable MIDI Input: Activate your MIDI keyboard for recording and control functions.
Save Changes: Save your settings in the DAW.
Test Connection: Play some notes on your MIDI keyboard to confirm it's properly linked to your DAW.
